Yes, with limits. Willow's Basic plan costs nothing and needs no credit card, but it uses a weaker speech model (Frontier Mini), allows 20 Scribe uses a week, and caps each recording at 5 minutes. Willow's pages also disagree on words: the pricing page calls Basic unlimited, while its help centre lists 2,000 words a week. The stronger model and unlimited use need Pro, at $15 a month or $12 a month billed annually, as of 3 October 2026.
Publisher note: SuprFlow publishes this guide and is one of the products discussed. Competitor details come from each company's own pages, checked on 3 October 2026. Prices and features change; confirm before you buy.

Where does the free plan stop?
- Model quality. Frontier Pro, which Willow calls its smartest model, is Pro only. This is the main difference, and only a test on your own voice shows whether it matters.
- A possible word cap. The pricing page lists Basic as unlimited use of Frontier Mini. The plans overview chart lists a word limit of "2,000 per week" on Free and "Unlimited" on paid plans. We cannot tell you which page is current; trust the counter in the app.
- Scribe. 20 uses a week on Basic, unlimited on Pro.
- Session length. 5 minutes on Free against 8 on paid plans.
- Offline dictation and writing-style memory. The plans overview lists offline dictation under Individual Pro, and the pricing page lists smart memory of your writing style under Pro.
Every plan uses Willow's cloud. Its privacy help article describes cloud models, so plan for an internet connection.
Is there a free trial or a refund?
Basic is the way to try Willow; the pricing pages we read do not describe a timed Pro trial. The pricing FAQ says you can change or cancel a subscription at any time from Plan & Billing in the app, and the plan stays active to the end of the billing period. We found no stated refund window on Willow's pricing page or its cancellation article. Ask support before paying for a year; iPhone subscriptions go through Apple.
What do you pay next?
As of 3 October 2026, from the pricing page:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually |

| Pro | $15 per user a month | $12 per user a month ($144 a year) |
| Business | $35 a month | $28 a month |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom |
Willow's pricing FAQ says students, educators, non-profits and veterans can get a discount on Individual Pro through its verification page. Willow Voice pricing lists every plan and where Willow's pages differ.
What are the free alternatives?
- Apple Dictation. Already on your Mac: choose Apple menu → System Settings → Keyboard, go to Dictation and turn it on, per Apple's Dictation guide (macOS 27; look for Dictation in Keyboard settings on older versions). Apple says you can dictate any length without a timeout; it stops after 30 seconds of silence. How to use voice to text on a Mac has the steps.
- Apps with free local models and no weekly cap, such as Superwhisper Free, Spokenly and Handy. See Best free dictation app for Mac.
Where does SuprFlow fit?
SuprFlow, which publishes this page, is not free: $125 for lifetime access on up to five Macs you own, no subscription, and a 7-day refund on a first purchase, with no free tier or trial. Speech recognition runs on the Mac with an on-device model, and Default formatting is local cleanup of punctuation, capitalization and numbers. It is the wrong choice if Willow Basic already works for you, or if you want iPhone or Windows apps, Scribe, team plans or a vendor with a SOC 2 report. SuprFlow vs Willow Voice compares them.
