- Sign in with the email you used to buy.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
- Keep the confirmation email until the billing period ends.
Steps: cancel through the App Store or Google Play
iPhone: open the App Store, tap your profile picture, tap Subscriptions, then select Superwhisper and cancel. Apple's own page, Cancel a subscription from Apple, gives an equivalent route through Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and a Mac route through the App Store sidebar if you used the same Apple Account.
Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and select Superwhisper.
What happens after you cancel?
Superwhisper's subscription page says Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period, then the account moves to Free. Its plans page says that when Pro access ends "the app falls back to the Free plan; nothing is deleted."
The free plan still includes unlimited dictation with local Whisper models, custom vocabulary, text replacements and up to two modes without AI processing. You lose the Pro features, such as AI modes, cloud models and file transcription. Many people can keep using Superwhisper Free after cancelling, which is worth trying before you uninstall.
Can you get a Superwhisper refund?
Yes, within a window. Superwhisper's refund policy says:
- There is a 30-day refund window from the date of first purchase: the subscription start date, or the Lifetime purchase date.
- A purchase qualifies if it was made on superwhisper.com in the last 30 days, has not already been refunded, and the licence has not been terminated.
- You request it with the refund request form, giving your purchase email.
- Renewal charges are not refundable on their own, because the window runs from your first purchase. Cancel before your renewal date if you do not want to renew.
- Superwhisper cannot refund App Store or Google Play purchases. Request those from Apple or Google.
- Licences terminated for breaking the terms of service are not refunded.
Can you switch a Superwhisper subscription to Lifetime?
Yes. Superwhisper's subscription page says to buy Lifetime at its Lifetime checkout, then email [email protected] from the same address, and Superwhisper will refund the unused portion of your existing subscription. As of 3 October 2026, Lifetime is $249.99 once, Pro annual is $84.99 a year and monthly is $8.49, according to the plans page.
Lifetime is cheaper than annual billing only from the third year, so it makes sense if you are sure you will keep Pro that long. Superwhisper pricing has the arithmetic.
How do you delete your Superwhisper account and data?
Cancel any subscription first; Superwhisper's deletion page does not say what deletion does to an active subscription.
Superwhisper's account deletion page says:
- Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account.
- Superwhisper confirms receipt, completes the deletion within 30 days, and replies when done.
What changes: your email is obfuscated so it is no longer identifiable, and billing records are kept in anonymised form because tax law requires transaction records. Superwhisper says it never stores your transcripts or audio, so there is nothing else to delete on its side.
Your local data is separate. Superwhisper says transcripts, audio recordings, modes, vocabulary and settings live on your Mac and account deletion does not touch them. Delete recordings in History, and note its warning that uninstalling the app alone leaves the data folder in place. Superwhisper's pages do not describe a data export; your history is already on your Mac.
