To cancel an Aqua Voice subscription you paid for directly, open the Aqua desktop app, go to Account, select Manage, and use the Billing & Subscription options on the management page that opens. If Apple bills you, cancel in Apple's subscription settings instead. Aqua's pricing page says you can cancel any time, but its terms of service say fees already paid are non-refundable. If you cannot find the option, email [email protected].
Where do you cancel? It depends on who bills you
Aqua's FAQ, checked 3 October 2026, separates direct subscriptions (billed through Stripe) from Apple-billed ones.
| How you pay | Where to manage or cancel |
|---|---|
| Directly with Aqua (card, Stripe) | Desktop app → Account → Manage, which opens Aqua's management page at app.aquavoice.com/manage. Billing & Subscription shows the changes available for your plan; Manage → Update Payment opens the Stripe billing portal |
| Apple (bought in the iPhone app) | Apple's subscription settings |
| Team plan | The team's billing owner; Aqua's FAQ says team members should ask them |
| Not sure, or the option is missing | Email [email protected] from your registered address |
Aqua's FAQ does not walk through the cancel button screen by screen. It describes where billing lives, so the steps below follow those pages and stop where the documentation stops.
Steps: cancel a direct Aqua subscription
- Open Aqua Voice on your Mac or Windows PC.
- Open Account and select Manage. Aqua's FAQ uses this route for team owners and billing changes. You can also sign in at app.aquavoice.com/manage in a browser.
- Open Billing & Subscription to see what you can change on your plan. To reach the Stripe billing portal, Aqua's FAQ says to open Manage, then Update Payment.
- Cancel the subscription there and keep the confirmation.
- If you do not see a cancel option, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask Aqua to cancel it.
Steps: cancel an Apple-billed Aqua subscription
Apple's page Cancel a subscription from Apple gives these steps, and Aqua's FAQ links to it.
On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Aqua → Cancel Subscription.
On a Mac with the same Apple Account: open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click your name again, click Subscriptions, pick the subscription and click Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if there is no Cancel button, or there is an expiration message in red, it is already cancelled.
What happens after you cancel?
Aqua's pages do not say in so many words when access ends or what the account returns to. Its terms say that if you pay by card you authorise charges for the initial subscription term and any renewal terms, charged in advance. Read that as: cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Aqua's pricing page describes a free tier of 1,000 words; check the plan your account shows after the paid period.
Can you get an Aqua Voice refund?
The vendor's pages do not state a refund window. Aqua's terms of service, last updated 1 October 2025, say "payment obligations are non-cancelable and Fees paid are non-refundable", except as the terms otherwise specify. So do not count on money back for a period already paid, especially on annual billing. You can still email [email protected] to ask. For Apple-billed purchases, Apple's refund process applies.
How do you delete your Aqua Voice account or data?
Aqua's FAQ says:
- In the iPhone app, open Settings and choose Delete Account to request deletion.
- Or email support from your registered address.
- Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate. An Apple-billed subscription must be cancelled in Apple's settings, so cancel first.
- To access, correct or delete your personal data, contact support.
Aqua's privacy policy, effective 29 July 2026, lists the right to access, update, correct or request deletion of your personal information, and says some records are kept after account closure where required, for example for tax and accounting. Aqua's pages do not describe a self-serve data export; ask support.
What to use instead
Publisher note: SuprFlow publishes this guide and is one of the products discussed. Competitor details come from each company's own pages, checked on 3 October 2026. Prices and features change; confirm before you buy.
- Apple Dictation, free. Turn it on under Apple menu → System Settings → Keyboard → Dictation, per Apple's Dictation guide. How to use voice to text on a Mac walks through it.
- A one-time purchase. Mac dictation apps you can buy once and Aqua Voice alternatives compare free, local and one-time options.
- SuprFlow. $125 for lifetime access on up to five Macs you own, no subscription, and a 7-day refund on a first purchase. Speech recognition runs on the Mac with an on-device model; optional cloud formatting sends transcript text, not audio, to the provider you pick. It is the wrong choice if you use Aqua on Windows or iPhone, want features such as Realtime Mode, or want to try before paying: SuprFlow is Mac only and has no free trial.
