Click the exact form field immediately before dictating, then keep that tab and field active until SuprFlow finishes inserting text. In its normal insertion path, SuprFlow writes the final text to the macOS clipboard and sends Command-V after a short delay. That paste goes to the field with focus then, which may differ from the field that was active when recording started. A browser notification, autocomplete menu, modal, address-bar shortcut, or click can move focus.
This guide is for browser forms that matter—an adviser CRM note, law-firm matter field, or support reply. The wrong-window recovery guide covers what to do after a mispaste; this page is a repeatable before-use test for one specific form.
Test the field with harmless content
- Open a test record in the correct work account and browser profile. Confirm the URL, tenant, record identifier, and field label. Do not begin with a real client or matter.
- Place the caret in a blank text field. Type one keyboard character, delete it, and confirm it appeared in the intended field. This reveals read-only fields or focus traps before speech is involved.
- Dictate “Harbor test 274 is a fictional note.” Keep the tab frontmost until text appears. Check the entire sentence, especially its first and last word.
- Repeat after opening any field menu or autocomplete control that staff normally use. If focus moves, close the menu or change the workflow before confidential dictation.
- Check whether the form autosaves, requires Save, or has a separate Send/Submit action. Verify the final saved record, not just the text visible before navigation.
- Record browser, app version, SuprFlow version, insertion mode, field type, and result. Recheck after a browser, CRM, or SuprFlow update.
If the phrase lands in the address bar or another field, stop and record where it went. If nothing appears, test a plain local note to separate speech-model failure from browser-field failure. The no-paste guide covers permissions, model readiness, and input focus. Avoid repeatedly speaking the same confidential sentence while troubleshooting.
Normal paste and live streaming differ
In SuprFlow 1.0.0, normal insertion uses a clipboard-backed Command-V to current focus. A beta live-stream mode attempts Accessibility text insertion in a captured field, or keyboard simulation for browser and other unsupported fields. That beta path may append intermediate words and later replace them with the final result. It deserves a separate test for duplication, cursor movement, and accidental edits. Do not assume a passing normal-paste trial proves live streaming safe in the same form.
The browser service has its own storage route. If a CRM autosaves to a server, local speech recognition does not keep the final note on the Mac. See where dictated text goes after insertion.
Questions people ask
Why did SuprFlow paste into the browser address bar?
The address bar likely had focus when the simulated paste ran. Test with fictional text, then keep the intended editor focused through completion. The signed release and browser version should be checked because focus behavior can vary.
Does a flashing cursor prove a CRM field will save the note?
No. Verify the final record and any save or submit status. A visible draft can still be lost on navigation or sent to the wrong record.
Should I enable live transcription to solve focus problems?
Not automatically. The beta streaming path uses different insertion methods and needs its own test in that field. Measure duplication and cursor movement before approving it.
