How to cancel Wispr Flow: steps, refunds and account deletion

Cancel Wispr Flow on Mac, Windows, iPhone or Android in a few steps. What happens to your access and data, Wispr's refund wording, and how to delete your account.

To cancel Wispr Flow, cancel with whoever bills you. If you paid by card on a Mac or Windows PC, open the Flow app, go to Settings → Plans and Billing, choose Manage subscription, and click Cancel Subscription in the billing portal that opens. If you subscribed on an iPhone, cancel in Apple's subscription settings; on Android, cancel in Google Play. Wispr's billing help article says paid access continues to the end of the billing period, then the account returns to the free plan.

Where do you cancel? It depends on how you pay

Wispr's billing article, checked 3 October 2026, lists these places to manage a subscription.

How you subscribedWhere to cancel
Card, on Mac, Windows or the web (individual Pro)Flow app: Settings → Plans and Billing → Manage subscription, which opens Wispr's Stripe billing portal
Team, Growth or Enterprise planYour admin: Manage billing opens the admin portal, then Manage Subscription. Team members can see billing but cannot change it
iPhone (App Store)iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wispr Flow
Android (Google Play)Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wispr Flow

If you are not sure which applies, look at your receipt. A Stripe receipt by email means you cancel in the Flow app; an Apple or Google receipt means you cancel with Apple or Google.

Steps: cancel a card subscription on Mac or Windows

  1. Open Wispr Flow on your Mac or PC.
  2. Go to Settings → Plans and Billing.
  3. Click Manage subscription. Your billing portal opens.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm.
  5. Check that the portal now shows the cancellation and an end date. Wispr's article tells you to verify this step.

Wispr's pricing page says the same in short: you manage your subscription under Plan & Billing in the desktop app, and you can cancel any time. If your screen uses slightly different labels, look for the billing or plan section of Settings.

Steps: cancel on iPhone or through Apple on a Mac

Apple's page Cancel a subscription from Apple gives these steps.

On iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Wispr Flow, then tap Cancel Subscription.

On a Mac (same Apple Account):

  1. Open the App Store and click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click your name again on the page that appears. You may need to sign in.
  3. Click Subscriptions, then the subscription.
  4. Click Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, it is already cancelled.

Wispr says that on its iOS Plans screen, Cancel opens Apple's Manage Subscriptions sheet.

What happens to your access and data after you cancel?

According to Wispr's billing article:

  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Paid access continues through the billing-period end shown by the provider.
  • After that, the account returns to Wispr's free plan. Your account and data are not deleted.
  • Wispr's plans article adds that your data is preserved and Pro-only features come back if you upgrade again.

On the free plan the weekly word limit applies again. Wispr Flow pricing lists those limits.

Can you get a Wispr Flow refund?

Wispr's billing article says: "There is no separate desktop/web auto-renew switch and no automatic prorated refund — contact support about refund requests, and Apple manages App Store refunds."

So Wispr's pages do not state a refund window. For a card subscription, contact Wispr support; the billing article says to select Billing for unexpected charges or portal problems. For an App Store subscription, the refund request goes to Apple.

How do you delete your Wispr Flow account or download your data?

Cancel first. Wispr's account article warns that deleting your Flow account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, and billing continues if you do not cancel it with Apple or Google. It also says a personal Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately on deletion, without refund or proration, so you lose any paid days left.

To download a copy of your data, Wispr's security and privacy overview says: on Mac and Windows, go to Settings → Data and Privacy, use Download your data, and select Request a copy. Wispr emails a confirmation and prepares the export.

To delete the account on Mac, Windows or iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings (or Menu) → Account → Delete account.
  2. Read the permanent-deletion warning.
  3. On desktop, type your account email exactly.
  4. Confirm.

On Android there is no in-app option; Wispr says to use Report an issue → Account management from the dashboard drawer. Wispr says deletion removes your dictionary, Flow Notes, preferences, transcripts, audio and usage history and cannot be undone. Local history on your other devices is not removed, so delete the app on each device. Some records, such as team-dictionary contributions and privacy-request records, are kept.

What to use instead

Publisher note: SuprFlow publishes this guide and is one of the products discussed. Competitor details come from each company's own pages, checked on 3 October 2026. Prices and features change; confirm before you buy.

  1. Apple Dictation, free. It is built into macOS: Apple menu → System Settings → Keyboard → Dictation, according to Apple's Dictation guide. Try it for a week before paying anyone. How to use voice to text on a Mac walks through it.
  2. Wispr's own free plan. If you mainly wanted to stop paying, the free tier may cover light use.
  3. A one-time purchase. Mac dictation apps you can buy once compares the licences, and Wispr Flow alternatives for Mac covers free and paid options.
  4. SuprFlow. $125 for lifetime access on up to five Macs you own, no subscription, and a 7-day refund on a first purchase. Speech recognition runs on the Mac with an on-device model; optional cloud formatting sends transcript text, not audio, to the provider you pick. It is the wrong choice if you need Windows, iPhone or Android apps, a meeting recorder, file transcription, a team admin console or a free trial, because it has none of those.

Questions people ask

Does deleting the Wispr Flow app cancel my subscription?

No. Removing the app does nothing to billing, and Wispr says even deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel with the billing provider.

Will I lose my dictionary and history when I cancel?

Not by cancelling. Wispr says the account returns to Free and your data is not deleted. Only deleting the account removes it.

Can I get a prorated refund for the rest of my year?

Wispr says there is no automatic prorated refund. Contact Wispr support with your request; App Store refunds are handled by Apple.

Why can't I find the cancel button?

You may be on a team plan, where only the admin can change billing, or you may have subscribed through Apple or Google. Check your receipt, then use the matching row in the table above.
